Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit West Bengal in a second leg of his tour, arriving at Barasat tomorrow.
The visit is strategically timed ahead of International Women’s Day and Modi will deliver a keynote address at a women’s rally at Barasat, emphasizing women’s empowerment and Sandeshkali issues will be highlighted. Before reaching Barasat, the PM will spend the night at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata today. The focus of his visit to Barasat is expected to be on the issues of women’s empowerment, and the rally aims to provide a platform for women to directly share their concerns with the Prime Minister.
The BJP has been actively organizing such events in different parts of West Bengal, with recent rallies in Arambagh and Krishnanagar where Modi highlighted various issues and targeted the Trinamul Congress for alleged malpractices. The rally is expected to escalate the focus on Sandeshkhali. Furthermore, a few women, who would attend the rally on Wednesday are expected to get an opportunity to voice their grievances directly to the Prime Minister. The BJP has planned the event in a way to ensure that the message from the rally reaches a national audience.
